When does the 1,000 year rule take place?

This overview on Revelation 12 to 22 will explore these and other questions.

We will look at how John unveils the enemies of God and His people one by one: the dragon or Satan (12:1-17), the beast from the sea (13:1-8), the beast from the earth (13:11-18), and Babylon the Great (14:8; 16:19; 17:1-14). Then John shows us how each of these enemies are destroyed: Babylon the Great (17:15-19:10), the beast from the earth and the beast from the sea (19:11-21), and finally Satan (20:1-10).

In the climax of the book, in Revelation 21 & 22, John unveils the new heaven and new earth: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (21:3-4). What a glorious place that will be!
