English Class for Migrant Workers (HELLO Class)

English classes for migrant workers using Bible stories
Sunday, 11am, Level 2, Room 209

HELLO Class is an outreach programme designed to teach English to our foreign workers.

HELLO stands for Helping English Learners through Listening and Oracy.

It began primarily as our way of showing love, care and concern for the Myanmar and Mizo people who have come to work for us in our homes and industries. We now have sisters from Indonesia and the Philippines who join us every Sunday.

Here in Singapore, God has given us a golden opportunity to be of practical help to the migrant community through HELLO Class. It is our expression of Christian love for people who have left their homes and loved ones to work here.

Our aim is that we will make a difference in their lives. We hope to help them improve their English through reading the English Bible, to be their encourager and friend as they hear about and grow in knowing Jesus Christ our Lord.
