2020 has been an eventful one for our nation due to a global pandemic that has impacted every facet of life. The message of reconciliation for families of the incarcerated is even more significant during this time of uncertainty and difficulty. It is with this greater sense of purpose and urgency that we kick off this year’s Angel Tree Project to bless and reconcile inmates to their families during Christmas.
This year, letters will be written by inmates and personally delivered by PFS volunteers to each of their families, along with an NTUC gift card. Home visitation will take place from November to December 2020, subject to and in compliance with prevailing Covid-19 advisories. Individuals and cell groups can sign up using URL (https://tinyurl.com/angeltree2020) from now till 18 October.
Donations for this year’s NTUC gift cards can be made via the usual e-offering by indicating “Angel Tree Project 2020” in the “message field” in PayLah. Alternatively, you may mail a cheque payable to “PSPC” (Address: 77 Prinsep Street, Singapore 188649) and designate “Angel Tree Project 2020” at the back of the cheque. Any excess donations to Angel Tree Project 2020 will be channelled to the Prison Fellowship Singapore general fund.
