Last year, PSPC disbursed $2,000 to assist Wycliffe Thailand in their ongoing efforts to finish crafting 55 Bible stories in the language of the East Lawa people. The Bui Project is the code name for this Bible storying effort. This people group is situated in Thailand, mainly in the province of Chiang Mai. The East Lawa people do not have a written script. There are about 10,000 speakers of the East Lawa language in Thailand. Among them, there are about 11 evangelical Christians while the overwhelming majority of East Lawa people are Buddhists or animists.
Greg and Rosie Blok are Wycliffe missionaries to the East Lawa people. They will be transiting in Singapore from 5 to 8 May and will be giving a talk in PSPC about their work among the East Lawa people. All are welcome to come and hear their exciting ministry and the amazing transformation of lives touched by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
